Great place to eat out in JB. Went there last night and my family enjoyed it. I asked them for reccomendation and all of them were awsome. Dishes that we ordered: - bitter gourd fried egg (6/5) - omg so good, you must try it. - ah meng meehoon (4/5) it was good but nothing special - asam steam fish (5/5) - great texture, great taste - homade goh heong roll (4/5) - great taste - minced meat beancurd (5/5) - good tofu and meat in one bite - fry baby squid (5/5) - perfect cooking time, crunchy yet bouncy.. - sweet sour ribs (5/5) - perfect balance between sour, sweet, and umami - kepiting masak telur asin (5/5) - plumpy crab with great egg salted yolk sauce - gan xiang lala (5/5) - great taste and they made it not spicy. My kids love it Food: 5/5 amazing Ambience: 4/5 could be better in term of restaurant interior. Price: 4/5 Will i come back? Of course

Went for early dinner here. The moment it opened at about 5 pm, customers began to flock the restaurant. They have 2 units of shops. There are many tables available for customers. The signature san lao mee hoon had a bit of charred bottom which made the mee hoon crispy. It tasted good with the lime sambal belacan. The shrimp paste chicken was fragrantly fried. The chicken pieces were crispy outside and tender inside. The ikan bilis petai reminded us of grandma's cooking. The fried ikan bilis was crispy and petai crunchy. The fench beans was deliciously crunchy. The meal was washed down with chrythemum tea which was hot and aromatic. Satisfactory . The service was prompt as we did not have to wait long for our order. If you are looking for some chinese new year cookies, you can eat and shop as well.

Sanlou meehoon is the best. Not too oily and not too salty. Best paired together with their own in-house chilli sauce. The rest is just right to the old school taste. Cafe is open air and the vibe is nostalgic 90s with TV. Carpark may be a problem so watchout they have private carpark space just opposite the restaurant. Can go for carwash at Shell and eat
